While in Kansas city last night I met up with a good friend, Monique, who went through flight attendant training with me. She is based in Kansas City, I had an overnight there, so I decided to see it she was in town. Jackpot! She picked me up at the hotel and we headed downtown to the Power & Light District and, as they say, walked and talked. Had a wonderful time with my beautiful friend. It was warm and dry enough to stroll through the district then grabbed a darn good burger at a place called chefburger. I am so blessed in my life.

Hard at Work
So, what’s the perfect job for a dog? Well, I came across these to two guys in Casa Grande, Arizona. The city was having a street fair/market and the owner of these dogs was selling hats for dogs. So, as you can tell from the image the models are hard at work. Yeah, I know, I cropped poorly. 🙁

Two Nails
Found on one of my walks. Wonder what they were used for?

Lamp and Shade
I like the sound of the shutter in my camera. It’s one of the reasons I take photos but it is not the main reason. I shoot to fill my need to share what I see around me. For so many years I missed seeing the world. I mean I saw it but I didn’t see it. I now look for shapes, patterns, colors, subjects and try to see them with a new vision. Oh, to be a story teller with our images.

Enjoying some sunshine….
I will be missing in action for a few days as I travel to Arizona for a visit with my parents. Want to celebrate my dads 81st birthday with them. I’m not taking my laptop but will have my camera. I also plan on soaking up a bit of sunshine.

Fourth Floor
When I’m flying and the weather is cold and snowing I do not always want to venture outside. I find walking around my hotels to be a form of stress relief and easier to do in short periods. So here is another image taken in stairwell at one of the hotels. The ordinary seen in black and white.
