Last week we had a long overnight in Buffalo, New York. We arrived just before midnight but did not have to show until 5:00 PM, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the area. Since none of the four of us had been to Niagara Falls, we did some investigating and discovered a $4.00 bus ride from the airport was available. What a wonderful natural wonder the falls are! Such power and beauty in once place. We walked all over the place and checked out all the different views we could on the American side. If I ever get back up there I will look into the Canadian side. This image was taken near Prospect Point. We avoided all the souvenir shops but did eat lunch at the Top of the Falls restaurant overlooking the falls. Buffalo wings! It made for a nice day trip.

Mocha Latte (latte moka)
Our hotel in Montreal has a neat little coffee bar with a variety of drinks and pastries. Of course I needed to try them out and spend some time journaling.

Morning Dew
Yesterday morning I arrived at Blendon Woods Metro Park just as they opened the gates so I pretty much had the park to myself, everyone else was in bed or the shower. The morning dew had done it’s work of art so it was my pleasure to find a few images to add to my library.

A Bug
I hadn’t planned on going to Blendon Woods Metro Park but that’s where I ended up. It was one of those times when I just needed to get out of the apartment, get in some fresh air and sunshine. I spend way too much time in long silver tube so why would I want to hang around my apartment when I’m off work. Anyway, the only lens I had with me was 35mm prime, not the best lens to use for close-ups. This is about a 50% crop so we do lose some sharpness. Not sure what sort of bug it is but it has a place on my blog today. A bug.

Benches
A few years ago I gave myself a month long project to photograph a bench-a-day. It was an interesting project and ever since I find my eye moving towards them.

Which Door to Choose
Back to Richmond again and along that same street as this image. I took this one just minutes after the other door. Again the colors caught my attention. When I go back I need to take a wider lens with me, it’s just going to allow me more options. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
