Common Foxglove

Common Foxglove

I believe this purple bell-shaped flower is a Digitalis Purpurea, or a Common Foxglove. It was just outside our hotel in South Carolina. I still have so much to learn about these different flowers I am seeing and at times feel overwhelmed.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

Monte, no need to apologize, re, not commenting on my blog–as you can see, I’m a little behind in my own comments, doing just enough to keep my head above water.
Hope you enjoyed immensely you family time in TX, glad to hear from you, and the foxglove is one of my favorite flowers (although poisonous)–but I believe a derivative also used to manufacture heart medication.

Anyway, great captures as always and welcome back to the blogosphere!
