Travel Delays

Waiting in Rockers
Waiting in Rockers

Airline travel requires us to wait. Working in the industry I am faced on a regular basis with delays at airports due to weather conditions, mechanical problems and many other factors. When these delays present themselves we will find ourselves having to wait. But, it’s not uncommon to wait just for connecting to another city when traveling through an airlines major hub. On extended waits I’ve seen people sleeping on the floor or laying across chairs while they wait and are not necessarily the happiest of campers. Some airports have come up with vibrating recliners or nice white rockers for passengers to sit back in and wait out the hour or two they may have. This image shows two people as they take in the view of the rain falling at the Philadelphia Airport. It’s the Sunday after Thanksgiving so traffic is heavy and weather is not cooperating. There is much going on around them and yet they wait. Travel safely this holiday season and if you do encounter a delay I hope you find a comfy chair. And, maybe I’ll see you along the way.
