    End of Day

    Sunset on the Tarmac

As I normally do after finishing a trip I stepped out on the tarmac to catch the employee bus to my car. This evening I stood in awe and took the scene in. A smile formed as I enjoyed the last few rays and warmth of the setting sun. I really did not care if the was a bit late. As tired as I was I reached in bag and pulled out the G12 and took a few images. I did not care about the exposure as I knew I could not justify what I felt at that moment. It was just a nice way to end the day.

    Where’d it go?

    Blossoms

I took this a couple days ago when it was Spring. This morning I have about an inch of snow on my car and they’re are predicting a total of 3-5 inches before the day is over. So, off to a coffee shop for a a breakfast sandwich and a hot coffee, Where’d Spring go? I want the Spring weather back!!!!!

    Bench and Shadows

    Shadows

I saw the shadows from this bench as I came around the corner, almost a half block away. As I walked towards it my mind was looking for the best angle of the light, the composition, the backgrounds and exposure. After I had worked the scene, I had to laugh at myself as I realized how focused I was in getting over there. I could have walked in front of a car. Then there would not have been any image to post. Sheesh!

    Cancelled Flights

    Waiting

I am always witnessing people waiting at the airport. Some are planned waits such as connecting flights and some are not. When this image was taken we were waiting on our plane which did not arrive until early the next morning therefore canceling the flight.  It’s times like this we have opportunities to learn about waiting that Earls talking about here. For me waiting while I watch the sun to rise or set is easier than waiting for a late plane. Sigh!

    The Paint Is Gone

    The Paints Gone

We have a different hotel for our overnight in Kansas City. It’s not too far from the previous hotel and is just across the street from the Zona Rosa Mall, which has a pretty good BBQ place. On the back side of every hotel is an enclosed trash dumpster. Here is the gate for that enclosure. I knew you would want to see it. It looks used as the paint is wearing off.
