It’s raining.  Well, it’s actually misting. Well, that’s not really either true, it’s more like high humidity where you get wet by just standing there. Anyway it is refreshing!

One of my favorite coffeehouses in town is the Bean Cycle. It used to share space with a used book store and printing press company called Wolverine Farm. Within the past year, they moved to a new location of its own. It is a place for local authors and poets to sit and write, have a coffee, connect with other writers and have their work published. This past week I stopped by and discovered they had four older typewriters that customers could use. Just bring your own paper. I’m tempted to bring some paper and plunk away as its been a few years since I used one.

    Free Coffee?

“Every morning was a cheerful invitation to make my life of equal simplicity, and I may say innocence, with Nature herself.”

    Henry David Thoreau, Walden

Well, not really as we pay for them somehow. Many coffee shops are setup to offer a discount after 10 or 12 purchases. Some even offer free drinks and food. I’ve never had the nerve to calculate how much money I spend just to have a $2.00 discount or free coffee. And,  I probably won’t! 🙂

We are experiencing spring weather but know that nature can and does change rather quickly. They have predicted temperatures in the mid 70’s today and tomorrow, while snow is possible on Friday.

My schedule today is a quiet one. Now at the Lory Student Center to write and enjoy a mocha. Will have lunch with my youngest daughter today and then meet a friend later this afternoon. Hope you enjoy your day!

    … like, all the time.

    Coffee and Conversation
    Coffee and Conversation

I visited a coffee shop yesterday, one I don’t frequent often for a couple of reasons: their prices are high and they are on the other side of town. Their seating area is quite small so it’s easy to like hear other peoples conversations. I mean like this couple seemed to be like just getting acquainted like maybe a first encounter. Like they were trying their best to express like who they were, or like who they wanted to be. But, I was like interested in their table and the story it told. So, I asked if I could like take the above photo. Like they said, yes. It was like an interesting conversation to hear. I hear similar conversations like this all the time.

Like I needed to look up this constantly abuse word. It seems the habitual use of the word “like” has become an epidemic. They even have a name for it: “Like Epidemic.” There are multiple articles on line about how to stop using the word. Hope I don’t start talking this way like all the time now.
