Any observant photographer will look for patterns, lines, colors and shapes. I think this falls in the shapes catagory.

Time On Campus
I enjoy spending time on campus at Colorado State University. The campus is just a few blocks from my condo, an easy walk, bike ride or a short bus ride to the transit center on campus. I use the library for quiet time to read and write. There are three little coffee shops on campus, one in the library and two in the Lory Student Center. There are images everywhere when you look: architecture, colors, patterns, art. And, what a place to watch people, mainly young students, as they move from class to class. And, if your into fast food you’ll think you’ve d moved on to heaven.

Comfortable Chair
Snow stated falling sometime after midnight. It’s a beautiful heavy wet snow and a lot more than expected. I measured my sidewalk a few minutes ago and have 9 inches rather than the 1-3 inches predicted. The wind has also been blowing and gusting making for blizzard conditions. Schools have closed. Busses have stopped. Libraries have closed. Not really unusual for this time of the year in Colorado.
I found this young man sound asleep on Monday while walking through the Lory Student Center. Must have been a need to recuperate from Spring Break. Seeing him made my day. Stay warm.

Basking in the Sun
A couple days ago I came upon this young lady sitting outside one of the classrooms on campus, basking in the warm sun. We have had blue skies and warm sunshine but cold nights, temperatures dropping below 20 at night. However, this weekend is predicted to be much warmer. Looking forward to it. Enjoy your weekend.

Working the Crossword Puzzle
If you have something to say about life, you must also find a way of saying it clearly. And if you achieve that clarity of both perception and the ability to record it, you will have created your own composition, your own kind of design, personal to you, related to other people’s, yet your own. The point I want to make is that there is no such thing as THE way; there is only for each individual, his or her way, which in the last analysis, each one must find for himself in photography and in living. ~Paul Strand

Checking Email
A favorite coffeehouse is called Mug’s. They have two locations, one in Old Town and one just across the street from the the Oval on the campus of Colorado State University. I’m closer to the one near campus. They make these really awesome breakfast burritos, sandwiches and pastries. Because the food and coffee is good and the kids working there are awesome, you can easily drop $8 in the blink of an eye. And feel good about it. It’s a gathering place for students finishing homework assignments with a latte and bagel before heading off to class. Students gather for study sessions and faculty have meetings.
In this image I was taken by the window light and his intensity. I processed it with Silver Efex Pro using one of their presets then a couple tweaks in Lightroom.
