    Our Moods

    Happy or Sad
    Happy or Sad

The thing about kids is that they express emotion. They don’t hold back. If they want to cry, they cry, and if they are in a good mood, they’re in a good mood. Eddie Murphy

Even as an adult I have mood variations. What sets me in a down mood is allowing my mind to enter into commentary with thoughts that are not reality. When I’m able to release those thoughts, letting them drift off and stay present, I experience greater serenity. I’m therefore in a better mood.

    Chaps Girls
    Chaps Girls

Back in 2006 I was asked to shoot promotional images for a new lounge starting up in Loveland named Chaps. I was to shoot group and individual images of the girls in their chaps in and around a black limousine and against the brick wall. I had fun doing it. The girls were great and I learned a lot through the experience. They were remodeling the building directly behind them that had been a restaurant in the area for years. The owners had finally decided to move on so these guys were trying to start up this lounge. Not sure what happened, if the they had financial troubles or legal troubles. Anyway the place never did open and I’ve never seen any of the girls since. I sure hope it wasn’t because of my photography. If you didn’t notice they are all wearing chaps. 🙂

    Studying

Studying outside of Morgan Library on a sunny day in February

It is seven degrees this morning and still light snow  falling. We are expecting another week of this same weather, temperatures near zero at night. So, this young lady is most likely inside studying today rather than outside, as she was last week. Stay warm and enjoy your weekend!

    High Heels
    High Heels

“Those who live in gratitude, see beauty even in the smallest gift, they see life as a miracle opening up before them.”

Some people have no problem walking up to strangers and asking for a photograph. I find it difficult to do but every once in a while I generate enough courage to ask. Bob Dien, and others, find this easier to do than I do. Anyway here is Erika’s Shoes. Thanks, Erika!
