The Innis Sisters
I took Jamie to InnisWood Gardens. They have a sculpture recognizing the efforts of the Innis sisters. The sisters wanted to preserve and enhance their gardens and woodlands for the enjoyment of all people resulted in their generous donation of their home and property to the Metro Parks in 1972. This sculpture shows the one sister reading to the other who os holding a basket of flowers. Jamie ran over and stood behind them while I took the photo.

The Guys
So what do you suppose they are talking a bout? Maybe they are a bit embarrassed and just turning away. It was an unusual scene so why not.
“When you photograph people in colour you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in B&W, you photograph their souls!” Ted Grant

Dreams and Gifts
“Gifts,” powers, material, intellectual, and spiritual possessions are the fruits of the effort; they are thoughts completed, objects accomplished, visions realized. As a Man Thinketh by James Allen
I bought Allen’s book a while back and quickly read through it then placed it on the shelf. Today I found myself reaching for it and skimming over a few pages. I must admit I like some of the ideas he presents but reading the words quoted above have caused me to spend more time in reflection. When I come across something I’ve read that strikes a chord it can behoove me to chew on it, there is usually some important message for me to learn.

Travel Delays
Airline travel requires us to wait. Working in the industry I am faced on a regular basis with delays at airports due to weather conditions, mechanical problems and many other factors. When these delays present themselves we will find ourselves having to wait. But, it’s not uncommon to wait just for connecting to another city when traveling through an airlines major hub. On extended waits I’ve seen people sleeping on the floor or laying across chairs while they wait and are not necessarily the happiest of campers. Some airports have come up with vibrating recliners or nice white rockers for passengers to sit back in and wait out the hour or two they may have. This image shows two people as they take in the view of the rain falling at the Philadelphia Airport. It’s the Sunday after Thanksgiving so traffic is heavy and weather is not cooperating. There is much going on around them and yet they wait. Travel safely this holiday season and if you do encounter a delay I hope you find a comfy chair. And, maybe I’ll see you along the way.
