I like how the Mercy Center has plants all over the place. There is very little grass as they have planted these wonderful flowers and a vegetable garden. One section is almost all raspberries which are very good. And, of course along with the flowers come the bees, butterflies and other insects.

We have our first frost warning of the 2018 fall season tonight. Good-by summer. These daisies are located on the median strip at the north entrance of campus. I walk by this spot each morning I walk to Mugs coffee shop. I like how the school landscapers change these flowers throughout the summer season at this spot It is never the same. I posted an image of tulips earlier in the summer that were in this same spot. Feels like I have a personal gardener.

Gratitude Lists
Saturday afternoon and sitting on the patio of a local coffee shop. CSU is playing a football game so pretty much have the place to myself. A beautiful day. It was 47 degrees this morning at 7:00 am and is now 83 degrees with clear blue skies. The cool breeze is refreshing.
Every day is a day for gratitude. Over the past few years I’ve acquired the habit of making gratitude lists in my journals. Some days it’s only one thing and some days it’s a longer list. A list is important for me as a visual person, something written in black and white that I can see. Today I’m grateful for the details in this dandelion. Do you write out a gratitude list?
Enjoy your weekend!

Discovery
Discovered these flowers on a small island at the entry to the parking lot at Lory Student Center.

The End is Near
Walking to the coffee shop I needed to take this image as it depicts the end of the summer and the beginning of fall. The seasons are a changing. Been thinking about planting, or I guess they call it spreading, of some wildflower seeds along the boundary between the ponds and the lawn at my condos. It seems to be a simple enough procedure adding some flowers to brighten up the area around my condo. I’ll let you know.

Thinking Out Loud
Perfectionism implies there’s a need to compare and judge, placing myself above or below, better or less than others or some standard that I set or society sets. It spawns worry, more judging, creates false ideas and beliefs. But, it is the need for my imperfections, and those of others, to learn and grow from. Just thinking out loud.
