Just Eggs

Just Eggs

I just haven’t felt like being out in the cold and snow so I’ve been shooting indoors with my macro. I believe they call it practicing. Again, it’s educational to discover what’s simple and within reach that will make an interesting image.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

This image reminds me of some exercise in photography classes where you had to photograph eggs on black velvet. I think the exercise had to do with balancing exposure vs. development. I never did the exercise, but I think I read about it. I would imagine in digital the exercise would be pretty easy, eh?

You’re right, though, sometimes the most interesting images come from the simplest subjects.

In Pittsburgh, it’s supposed to be very cold all through next week.

Thanks for stopping by again and commenting, Chris. I’ve exercises like this of other objects and with the snow and cold it’s what came to mind. It does ask me to work a creating an image, a different twist than walking around outside searching.

We are in Cleveland this evening where is it 16 degrees and light snow expected overnight. It will be cold in the morning!@

The angle of this shot somewhat masks the natural egg shape making these look rounder then eggs normally do. Not only does this provide practice for camera skills but it can also be a stretching exercise for ones imagination.
