Have you ever found yourself holding a cup of coffee, or maybe reading a book, waiting for a friend who is late, quietly sitting in prayer or mediation, and found your mind has taken flight to another place and time? I have been caught in those state. I’ve also caught others in those state, just staring out the window. They are no longer present. Gone. Bye-bye. They are some place else. Yep, I must admit to all of the above. I do not always stay present to the moment. I’m learning to be more aware of those times of departure and gently come back to the present.

Monte, yes, in school I use to get caught and called down by the teacher for “day-dreamer.” The only difference now is there’s no teacher. 🙂

Actually, as much as I must train myself to stay in the moment, there are also times I think its not such an unhealthy thing to just let go and drift. I think that is where the creativity lies and, more often than not, I struggle with the letting go than I do with the staying present.
Beautiful woman in the picture.
I’d like to ask you a question, unrelated to your post about flying with a camera–am flying to LA in a few weeks, just wanted to know if I will have a problem with most airlines carrying on my 5d…any advice?
