    The Look

    The Look

Some subjects do not want their photo taken of them. In the image above my sisters cat Willow, is giving me that annoyed look as I take practice shots of her. This has come about with the purchase of the Canon Powershot G12. Yes, a point and shoot. I have been looking at buying one for quite some time and finally weakened enough to lay out the cash for it. I’ve never owned a point and shoot but so many of you seem to like the options they offer. I plan on using it while I fly, making it so much easier to pack and carry than my DSLR is. I chose the G12 since they no longer have the S90 in production and the S95 and G12 were almost the same price. I also could not afford the M8. 🙂

    Hunkered Down

    Hunkered Down

Staying with the theme of the wintery weather we are experiencing in much of the country, I decided to post this image. When winter storms bring cold temperatures and snow begins to fall, we crank up the furnace, put on layers, start a pot of chili, drink hot chocolate and sit by the fire. Rabbits don’t do that. Hope everyone stays warm. 🙂

    Did your mother ….

    Face-to-face

… ever tell you it was not polite to stick your tongue out? Well, she’s right.

Our good friend Earl at Meandering Passage has been posting an excellent series of images called Eye-to-Eye. I would encourage stopping by and checking them out and read up on some of the good information he’s included on each of the animals. Well not to be outdone, and to sort of copy Earl’s idea, here  is my series of “one” on Eye-to-Eye, and some other stuff. We all need a good laugh once in while. Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday!!

    Checking Me Out

    Checking Things Out

I’ve been doing a bit of house cleaning; deleting and organizing images on my hard drive. I purchased another and larger hard drive about a month ago. I’ve moved everything over and have it the way I want it. Again, it is enjoyable to look back over images from the past and see where I’ve been and where I’m at now. I found this fellow from 2003 and felt like posting his portrait. He (she) is sure checking me out and looking cute.

    Morning Grazing

    Grazing in the grass

Met this friend at Blendon Woods park last Tuesday morning while on a walk. I watched as he nibbled on the weeds, even got a series of six images where you can see him take in a weed until it disappears. Reminded me of someone eating spaghetti.

    Morning Sunlight

    Morning Sunlight

I want to thank everyone for visiting the new blog site and for all your comments. I’m one of those people who acts slowly in making changes. I enjoy learning and increasing my knowledge but dislike reading the manuals. 🙂 I had trouble getting my gravatar up on my comments but it seems to be there now. Sheesh!

Yesterday morning Willow, my sisters cat, and I enjoyed the sunshine coming in the living room window. The day was a day for relaxing. I’m surprised at how tired I am and do need this time off. There are so many friends I want to connect with but know I can’t meet with all of them. I meet with several friends throughout today then crawl in bed late. Plus there is a 2 hour time change. Hope everyone has a great week!
