    Spiral

It’s about time to get back on my bicycle after a long hiatus due to lack of energy, then surgery and recovery and now the weather is getting nice again. I’m now at a local coffee shop while I have some work done on my car. Seems it needs surgery, also. This image is one of the unique bicycle racks around town. Some are truly pieces of art.

It looks like I will have surgery on my left on May 8th then the right eye on June 4th. I had some difficulty with insurance but that is all straightened out. I will be flying to Phoenix on May 10th to celebrate my parents 70th anniversary.

    Yep, Schools Out

    Empty Bicycle Rack

When classes are in session at Colorado State University, these racks are full with every conceivable bicycle you can think of, color, shape, style and brand. So, when I rode across campus yesterday and saw the empty racks at the dormitories, I had to stop and take a shot.

Well, the fire season in Colorado has started. As I rode home I could hardly make out the mountains due to the haze. The closer I came to my condo the more I realized the haze was really smoke. I started smelling it. So, when I got home I checked and to my dismay, Colorado has three fires burning: one near the Royal Gorge, one near Black Forest and one in the Rocky Mountain National Park. All three started Monday from lightening. I’ll probably be posting some images and giving you updates.

    Bicycle Rack

    Home for the Weekend

Back in Omaha and walking the streets again. Not sure what it is about this bicycle rack. I’ve posted images of it previously so sorry here it is again. What strikes me about this one is the absence of bicycles. This bicycle rack is located at Union Pacific Railroad headquarters office building So, when I’ve walked by at other times the place usually had several bicycles. When I walked by this time it was Saturday afternoon and rather on the cold side. The bicycles were home for the weekend. I like the gray color and the play of the shadows. Oh how the light can change quickly. The image below was taken about an hour later two blocks away. An hour later the sun was back out.
