This is a common scene in the morning as I head for the Transit Center on campus. Students sit in foggy states, staring off into space and earbuds plugged in. There are many reasons for this state. It may be way too early in the morning for them, or they may have stayed up way to late watching a movie, studying or it could be both. I know the feeling as some mornings my thinker is just not functioning yet. Anyway, I’m on campus with a breve mocha this morning and awake. Have a super awesome week!

Study Time in the Kindness Lounge
This is a common scene on campus. I probably could come home with a dozen such images each day I wander on campus. However, something interesting about this image is the lack of earbuds by this young lady. She is one of the few with them.
I took this image in the Diane Warren Kindness Lounge at the Lory Student Center. The lounge is a study area with a great view, fireplace and an interesting sculpture located outside the windows. It is usually quiet so it is perfect to finish your last minute readings.

Study-time in the Shade
If you wander anywhere on campus at Colorado State University you will find it pretty quiet. That will change on the 21st when classes begin. There are two small coffee shops on campus at the Lory Student Center and another at Morgan Library. They have good prices, catering to the penniless students and me. 🙂 I sat on the balcony and looked out over the square and noticed this student in study time. I assume they are taking summer courses. I converted this in Silver Efex Pro using one of the presets.

Finals Week
This is finals week at Colorado State University and scenes like this are not uncommon. I wonder if he is a) sleeping b) grateful it’s done, c) praying or d) all the above.

Columns
I find the architecture on the campus at Colorado State University a wonderful opportunity for images. Yes, the students themselves are more than interesting and enjoyable. But, some of these buildings are great works in engineering, craftsmanship and art. They also were constructed to last for many years. These short columns are the tops of a set stairs. I knelt down on the second to the top step and shot f2.0.

Don’t go in there
About 40 years ago I walked through some doors similar to these for a Physics 101 class. I dropped the class the first time and managed a meager “D” on my second attempt. You would have thought that would teach me to look into a field besides engineering, but, no….
