This image is straight out of my iphone. I thought about running it through Photoshop to change the minus sign to a plus sign and put a 7 in place of the 1. I’d leave the igloo image, because it’s kool. We are expecting to warm up to a whopping 5 degrees today. Have I been transported to Michigan? Damn it’s cold!

Two Geese and a Sunrise …
… makes for the start of a good day. Even with a head cold and hacking cough I rose early yesterday and headed out to the Arapahoe Bend Nature area to greet the morning sun. I find the quiet and beauty in nature to be a healer for what ails me. I was still coughing and hacking when I got back to my condo but sure felt better.
When asking yesterday what light people enjoyed, Paul mentioned morning and evening light. I agree and when you look back over my archives there are plenty of sunrise and sunsets shots to choose from. Being a morning person and enjoying time in nature also draws me to this time of the day. Many people are just getting up or on their way to the cubicle so not many people or traffic to deal with either. I setup my camera and tripod then took a sip of my hot chocolate when these two Canada Geese make their way into my scene. I smiled, took the images I wanted and thanked them. (Yes, I talk to birds.)
So, the snow started yesterday and as of this morning we have about 4 inches. Have a Super Saturday!

Check Your Socks
At the end of the day when you can finally sit down and take your shoes off, check those socks. It may be the answer to why the day was rougher than usual. And we try to blame others. 🙂

Cookie Thief
I bought a package of those Chips Ahoy cookies the other day. After about 3 days I noticed they were disappearing waaaayyyy to quickly and suspected a cookie thief. I setup a surveillance camera in an effort to catch the thief. As can been seen in the above image I’ve caught the thief with the cookies in hand. Now I need your help. Are there any suggestions for appropriate punishment and to prevent it from happening again as I still have cookies left. Rehabilitation is probably needed! I’m also wondering if this could be the same cookie thief I had in my last apartment. Hope he doesn’t find out about my stash of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream. 🙂

Maybe a telephoto lens …
… would have worked better in this image. I shoot almost exclusively with a small 35mm f1.8 lens because most of my photography is focused on what’s around me. However, I’ve found there are times when the telephoto lens would be a better choice such as the image above. A telephoto lens would have been a better choice when trying to shoot a photo of this semi truck as it comes towards me rather than a wide angle. I found it difficult to keep my focus and framing while running as fast as hell, camera behind my back and shooting blindly. Yep, a telephoto lens would have been a better choice. Have a super day! 🙂

Number 7
I ate at restaurant where after ordering you find a table then put up the number of your order. I had to take a photo of this one because of the fine print on the card. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Hard at Work
So, what’s the perfect job for a dog? Well, I came across these to two guys in Casa Grande, Arizona. The city was having a street fair/market and the owner of these dogs was selling hats for dogs. So, as you can tell from the image the models are hard at work. Yeah, I know, I cropped poorly. 🙁
