Here is another image from my trip in October to the Phoenix area. This is on the south side of the Superstition Mountains along the Peralta Trail Road. It is a wonderful place to find quite. You will hear a coyote howl, a cactus wren call out, and no sign of man. This is three jpeg images run through HDR Efex Pro.

Along the Rivers Edge
Instead of taking my walk around the block I headed to the North Shields Ponds nature area. The Poudre River runs along the nature area and this is where I stopped and sat along the rivers edge. The clear skies made for wonderful fall colors. The soft sound of the gentle flow of the river was soothing. A good way to start the day.

Again, It Was the Shadows
They tell me down here that they are liking this beginning of winter and the cooler temperatures. Yes the 65 degree mornings are nice but, man, it quickly gets up to 95. This Colorado lad has to rethink this. Since, I am somewhat intelligent, and please don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise, I try and get my walk in before 10:00 am. In doing so those shadows I discover are spectacular. So, again it was shadows I was seeing this morning.

Sunrise in the Desert
I was given this image on Peralta Trail near my parents home this morning. After getting back home my dad made a breakfast scramble. He and I are heading for a mocha now. A good way to start the day.

Tulips Greeting the Morning Sun
At the corner of Laurel and Howes St. is a median strip with multi colored tulips. I knelt down low so I could just catch the sunrise in the background. Spring is beautiful!

Clear Blue Skies
I drove to Loveland yesterday morning to meet my sister for coffee, share a hug and some talk time. As I came upon this scene I needed to stop and take it all in and I jus happen to have my camera. The water at the bottom of the image is a large puddle of melted snow in the wheat field.

Bright Morning Sunrise
I would not want to be driving into this sun.
