I had about a half hour of free time before meeting friends on Monday night. Felt the need for some quiet time closer to nature so I stopped at an overlook area above Rowland Moore Park. The sun was about to set and dark heavy clouds were constantly reshaping themselves above me. The glow of the sun was illuminating the clouds edge just above Horsetooth Rock. I needed this short time of quiet watching my nature channel in nature. 🙂

We have had cloudy and cooler weather for the past few days, seeing less of our Colorado sunshine. This past Saturday was a day for lovely clouds and not just a gray sky. I have taken several images from this location and always include the trees.

An Observation
There seems to be a correlation between the increase in my age and a decrease in sunrise images and increase of sunsets images. Now at Momo Lolos coffeehouse and listening to a pianist and flutist duet. Love the change from the piped music we find most of the time.
Family and community are an essential part of my life as well as my solitude. There are some who avoid solitude, finding it uncomfortable. And, there are some who avoid communities, finding it uncomfortable. I need both. Community and fellowship helps me to appreciate the solitude and quiet. While the solitude and quiet help me appreciate community.

Storm’s a Coming
They are predicting rain and cold for the rest of the week. Took this image yesterday morning at the Transit Center on my way to coffee.

Spring like weather is here. But, this is Colorado so snow can still make an appearance. Buds and blossoms are everywhere. Tulips are making their appearance on campus. Robins and chickadees are singing each morning, making the day start off on the right foot. And, at the end of this day will be a sunset, reminding me how good life is. Hope you have a great day!

Along the Road
I took this image somewhere between Cowdrey and Walden, Colorado. I had ridden my motorcycle, a BMW1150RT, over Cameron Pass to visit some friends who lived in Cowdrey. On my way home I noticed this view and needed to stop, take it in and get my camera out. Sometimes I really miss that motorcycle.
