    A Touch of Blue

    A Touch of Blue
    A Touch of Blue

Part of what photography does so well is to dispense with preconceived notions, reeducate, and reshape one’s thinking and attitudes about places and things–even history.Len Jenshel

I agree with his quote as I feel photography has reeducated and reshaped my thinking. As long as I am looking I will see images. As long as I have a camera with me I will have the opportunity to go home with an image.

    Open Spaces

    Clouds on Navajo Nation
    Clouds on Navajo Nation

I watched these clouds forming for several miles as I drove along Indian Route 13 on the Navajo Nation Reservation. I’m not sure the exact place I stopped but it just got the best of me. I had to stop. Couldn’t help myself. What beauty we are given in nature!

    Two and Blue

    Two Finch at Two
    Two Finch at Two

I shot this a couple days ago primarily for the blue sky. I watched this male finch land on the sign and knew I wanted a photo. It was taken at stop Two of the CSU Transit Center. There are actually two finches in this image as the female is working on the nest between the 2 two signs. Whoa, to many twos.

    Sunday Sunset

This past Sunday my oldest daughter and my son-in-law had family over for ribs. I needed to get out and walk so I grabbed my camera and walked along the corn field on the west side of their house. I watched the sun as it set on a beautiful day. Love family and the ribs were awesome!

    Something Different

    Standing in the Road
    Standing in the Road

“It is only through mystery and madness that the soul is revealed.” ― Thomas Moore

We need to try something different every once in a while. So, I did! A few years ago I drove out east and found this lovely sky and empty road. Both called me so I stopped the car, stood in the middle of the empty road and let the scene unfold before me. For some reason I took a series of three images for HDR processing even though the scene was fine without it. Three years later I get back to the image and run it through HDR EFEX Pro. Something different.
