I took this a couple days ago when it was Spring. This morning I have about an inch of snow on my car and they’re are predicting a total of 3-5 inches before the day is over. So, off to a coffee shop for a a breakfast sandwich and a hot coffee, Where’d Spring go? I want the Spring weather back!!!!!

I Enjoyed the Walk
Last Friday we had an overnight in Des Moines, Iowa. On Saturday morning, after eating breakfast, I went on a walk through the neighborhood behind the hotel. I like walking in this hood because of its feel. The homes were built back in the late 40’s and early 50’s. They have no sidewalks so walking is done in the street against traffic or on someone’s grass. The homes are small but located on large lots so your home is not right on top of your neighbor. Very few had attached garages and those that did were built more recently. These garages were located either in the back of the house or near the back edge of the house. I like this style of neighborhood and think this small home would fit me to a tee. Oh, and many of them had full basements.

Spring Snow
Yesterday morning, we woke to a late Spring snowfall. When snow comes this time of year it usually brings on wet heavy snow that bends branches and plants due to the added weight of the snow.

Out of the Office
I will be out of the office for a couple of days due to recurrent training. It will be intense and busy so I’m not taking my laptop and camera with me. Not sure how I’m going to make it and what sort of condition I will be in when I come back. I took this while on a walk around the apartment complex I live in. Spring!

Young Lovers
A walk in Inniswood Gardens found this older couple enjoying the Spring day. Notice how their stride is in sync and I love the holding of the hands. The grass is really starting to green up. Buds are popping out. Flowers are opening up. What a wonderful time of the year.

Spring is Coming
My apartment building is shaped like a horseshoe with a small grass courtyard. Within the courtyard are a half dozen small trees. They provide no shade and are popular with robins in all seasons. I have enjoyed sitting in my comfy chair during the winter and watch as the robins puff up their feathers to keep warm and snatch a berry once in a while. This particular afternoon, as I waited on my laundry, I noticed new growth is starting and seems to be in contrast to the shriveled up berries. So, out came the macro lens and the tripod. Yea, man, Spring is coming!
I will be in Canada again tonight for work. Yesterday morning we woke to a light dusting of snow and needed to de-ice the aircraft. But I know Spring is coming!!!! I just know it!!

Spring is getting closer….
Yesterday was a wonderful day so headed off to Inniswood Gardens for a walk. People were out and about. Flowers are “springing” up, birds are singing their happy songs and the squirrels were busy looking for food. I got in some decent exercise then defeated it by eating my half of a pizza with my room mate. Darn good pizza, too! Hope you’re having a good weekend.
