Yea for Spring
Spring is Near The first day of spring in the U.S. is considered to be around March 20 or 21, depending on what day the vernal equinox occurs. This is when the sun sits directly above the equator on its apparent trip northward. I took this image on March 20 while on a walk at Inniswood Gardens. I like how it shows the tree blossoms and the green grass as well as the barren trees and the lonely bench. A big Yea for Spring!

Signs of Spring
I made a trip this passed Saturday to Inniswood Gardens for some much needed exercise and just to get out of the house. I have been doing a lot of study for my recurrent testing that’s coming up the end of month and into next month. I’m glad I did. It was cloudy and overcast which provided for wonderful light for photography. The trees are still naked of leaves so the wooded areas feel of winter. But let your eyes wander to the forest floor and and you will be greeted with the site of new life.
Even though it was a Saturday not many people were out allowing me to enjoy the quiet as well as the beauty of the new growth surrounding me. The new plant life is making its beauty known by sending green spouts skyward and showing brightly colored flowers. They call out to our eyes asking for us to enjoy there beauty. And, that I did!

Pruning in Our Lives
Fresh Rain for the New Season Like a tree during the seasons of fall and winter, we need to be pruned of a lot of dead branches before we will be ready to bare good fruit. The winter season has its own way of pruning itself, leaves and fruits dry up and fall to the ground. With the sun and rains of the spring and summer seasons comes the flow of new life to the seemingly dead branches and we begin to see new buds, blossoms, leaves and fruits. So it is in our lives, pruning is a necessity of our lives.

Bring It On
Spring is Coming What a wonderful day we had yesterday. It didn’t start that way as I slept in late and missed and amazing sunrise. My body must have needed the rest because when I awoke just after 7:00 I could see the colors in the eastern sky. After a shower and some quite time I headed outside and discovered we had a nice frost and a light ground fog . After the fog burned off the clear skies allowed the sun to warm things up as our temperatures rose to 50 degrees. It was so nice I ventured out to Blendon Woods in the afternoon with camera and tripod. I found these leaves against the brown and white background and chose it for my image today. It will not be long and the snow will give way to the green of spring. Bring it on!
