“We don’t realize that, somewhere within us all, there does exist a supreme self who is eternally at peace.” Elizabeth Gilbert
My online journal where I share my interests in photography, nature, journaling, fountain pens, bicycling, coffee life, spirituality and asking deep questions.
There are small conference rooms located throughout Morgan Library on the campus at Colorado State University. This one is located on the east side of the library on the third floor where morning sunlight flows in. I like to sit and write at the tables just outside this room. It’s quiet, at least until the students finally begin to make their way into the library.
When we begin to listen with our hearts rather than our heads, our whole world changes and becomes softer.
This is another view of my quiet corner and my meditation chair. It’s taken from my bed where the previous image was from my bedroom door. I am grateful for having this condo. Even though it is small, it really works for me. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
I like to start my day with a few minutes of quiet contemplation and this is usually where I practice. I have a sort of bay window in my bedroom, about 18 inches of space to collect dust. I have a battery powered candle sitting which I use sometimes to change the mood. I’ve had the wicker rocker now for several years and have it broken in to fit my tush. It is beginning to be brittle so every so often I find pieces on the floor. This window faces the south-southeast so early morning sun will be my companion during the summer. I use the fleece blanket, draped over the end of my bed, to wrap around my legs on those colder winter mornings. It is my quiet place.
I’ve been a little lax in posting images. I’m still shooting but have just not had any desire to upload images or write. I have increased the number of galleries and number of images on this website. If you’ve got a few minutes to “waste”, feel free to head over there and give me any feedback. After uploading this image I wished I’d shot in color, it’s pretty busy.
