While on my walk….

Lamp

Sometimes when I arrive at our hotel I find a walk to be good medicine for relieving any stress. While on such a walk I found this lamp on the outside of the hotel as a simple yet interesting subject. How often do we walk by these simple objects and never see them?

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

Monte, walking has always be my activity for thinking, working through a problem, or just relaxing — even before I started carrying a camera everwhere.

I’m sure I miss many interesting subjects during my day out of routine, habits and simply not paying attention. However, if my wife’s walking with me I’m sure she’d tell you I must not miss anything because it seems I stop to look or take photos every two seconds while on a walk. 🙂

Even driving. I was in stop and go traffic in an area that I usually pass through with ease and as I sat there I noticed things I hadn’t seen before and this is even more so if you are a pssenger for a change.

@Earl: Walking was a God-send while going through a traumatic time in my life about 18 years ago. NOw I seem to surf more than walk. 🙂

@Don: LOL Driving can be hazardous when seeing the simple things in life. I’d rather be the passenger bu then I’d have to ask the driver to top all the time.

@Chris: Plenty of variety. We get to bid for certain trips (pairings) each month, knowing our schedule for the coming month on the 20th. I have been bidding according to where I would like to overnight and hope I get some time to explore the area. It does not always work as some overnights are too short, arriving late and leaving early.
