People/Portraits

Window Light

Self

Time at a hotel in Montreal with beautiful window light makes for a wonderful studio. My only problem is I do not have a gorgeous model to work with so I end up with a self portrait and some messing around with Topaz Adjust. What a beautiful hotel they have here in Montreal at the airport. The lobby is brilliant with light coming in the massive windows. I had a latte at there coffee bar and then wandered around the hotel lobby this morning.

We work four flights today and end up in Ottawa, Canada tonight.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

Monte, I like this photo and I admire you sometimes post self-portraits. Heck I’ve just barely become comfortable with posting one once a year! 🙂

I don’t know if I could deal well with your work schedule. It might be exciting for a while but would soon wear me down. I like to travel but at the same time I need consistent home time.

Hope you have a great weekend my friend!

There was a time when I would wake up in hotel rooms totally disoriented. Happens very seldom, now. The weather can play havoc with our schedules. I’m in Portland, ME this morning and will be in my bed tonight. Have a great Sunday!

Gee, I thought you had dropped a bundle on the good-looking guy in the photo. Heck, if we were all that photogenic, there might be more self-portraits in our blogs.

Great job with this. I really like the combination of softness with the intensity of the expression. Full of feeling.
