Thanks for sharing that, Monte. I enjoyed the read. It would seem to be applicable to today as well. I’d love to have so much time to sit, look, contemplate, sketch/draw, and get fully absorbed into the process; however, that said, I can still do it on a smaller level.

One aspect of this retirement is the accessibility to more time. I’m liking that part of it.

Great image, Monte! I’d been looking for a good perspective to shoot a piano, and you may have given it to me!

Thanks, John. I did have a nice yellow light from the window behind me.

Pianos make great subject matter for photos and this is a really nice point of view, Monte. well done.

Thanks, Ken. I am drawn to them. I must have seen an image sometime in the past and had it stick in my memory.

Monte,
Alexandra gave me your site’s URL as I wanted to tag you for credit on my latest blog post where one of your fabulous photos of Bettie is included (http://dottyhill.blogspot.com/2016/01/ageing-with-finesse-style.html). I took the liberty of cropping it a bit further vertically in order to reduce the amount of scrolling as I also wanted to show it large to get its full impact.
I don’t know where Momo Lomo Coffeehouse is but love this shot too of the keyboard, particularly the narrowing in on the three “sharp” keys and the infusion of colour to a more monochromatic palette. Well done! I really must review your other images here too as time permits!
Thanks again. Hope you are well! Keep carrying your camera around… and paying attention!

Thank you, Michael. I read your post and loved your thoughts on life and Bettie. I have no problem with the use of her photo. I sure did enjoy shooting those images of her and getting to know here better. One thing she does radiate is that smile. She loves life!
