I arrived at my parents home yesterday afternoon about 12:15. I have had some wonderful weather for this trip. But, let me tell you the heat difference driving into Phoenix was a major shift for my body. It was a 100 degrees when I arrived.
I awoke early and could see lightening north of the Superstition Mountains so I jumped in the car and drove out to Peralta Trail. I had to spend extra time on this image due to dust spots on the sensor. Frustrating.

Monte,
You capture a sky is loaded with power. Great!

Thanks, Steve. I think power is a good word to use.

Sounds like you may have gotten some dust from that sandstorm you camped in. Bummer! I have yet to even use a blower on my XT-1, maybe that is unusually fortunate for me. But the dust removal system appears to be doing a great job.
Love the colors and – yes – power in this photo, Monte.

I tried the blower today. I just may have to send it in for cleaning when I get home. And, I not changed the lens on the camera since I left Fort Collins. 🙂

That was the one thought working against my theory. I realized that you hadn’t probably changed lenses. But that sand can be very pervasive, as you’ve learned!

Beautiful shots, Monte! I see that you went for 38 F to 38 C 😉 You do get around!

I am on the move but will settle down on Saturday. I never thought about the temperatures. LOL

Another gorgeous shot Monte. At least now you’re in climes I can get my head around 🙂

It’s a bit too hot for me, Cedric. I want it perfect but know that’s never going to happen. Like most of us, I don’t want it too hot and I don’t want it to cold. 🙂 And, that varies for each person.

Powerful shot. Those dust spots seem to really have fun playing with our patience in shots like this, and when you notice them the most.
Those gel type sensor cleaners work really well for me.

I am almost afraid to try and do anything with it expect blowing it off. Maybe the dust means I need to order and X-T2. 🙂
