I like the high contrast, textures and grains of the image, Monte. As for the quote, overall I feel I’ve chose my life but there certainly have been compromises which may have seemed to be settling at the time…turns out I like to eat and have a roof over my head and so did my kids. 🙂 Yes, I’d like to think I’m the captain of my own ship but perhaps it’s an illusion and I’m really simply Gilligan on a three hour tour. There are days! lol

I think anyone who can totally agree with her quote will be in our age group. When I was 30-40 not so much. Man, I had not thought of Gilligan’s Island for quite some time. It was one those clean and fun shoes.

I like the quote and what it signifies. Each day, each hour, each minute, we have a choice of what to make of our lives. When we look back, what will we say?

And, it is one day at a time. one moment at a time. Choices are what I like to have, always a lesson in those choices.

Too many distractions take away our ability to make good choices, I fear. I was walking to work this morning and almost got run over by a woman walking with her face in her phone, and the words that came into my head (but not out of my mouth) were “come join us in the real world, it’s nice out here!”

I’ve said similar words under my breath.
