Unknown to me, White-faced Ibises wander through our area during the warmer months of breeding. I do not know that I’ve ever seen them before simply because I pay more attention to this book of nature now. In fact I enjoy reading it. I just sat and watched them with wonder. I found these birds along Weld County Road 13 in a marshy area with no name on any map I could find. Both images from Saturday afternoon.

the meadow begins to come alive
song birds fill the nights silence
crescent moon surrenders to day
dark shadows give way to light
cherish this gift of awe and wonder
I brought out the blue in this image, which makes it look unreal, so we could see the crescent moon better in the upper right corner. Interesting that I didn’t even see the moon when taking the image. 😁Have a great Sunday!
I start my day with quiet time
before planning the tasks ahead
and now a mocha at a favorite shop.Always have my camera, my journal,
my fountain pens and now-a-days
the needed reading glasses.I write to start the day slowly
not rushing blindly forward or the
day cannot be lived to its fullest.I write to find words that help

Today my parents celebrate their 72nd Wedding Anniversary. They have for the past 72 years placed trust in the mystery of each new sunrise., sometimes haltingly but never walking away. Congratulations mom and dad! I love you! ❤️
