No Frost, Yet!

Fallen Leaves
Fallen Leaves

It is 36 degrees now. No frost this morning since we’re above freezing but everything is wet. Now at a favorite coffeehouse, Bindles. Decided I needed a pumpkin cream cheese muffin to go along with my cup of coffee. A good decision. Life is good!

Our leaves this year did not have the color as in the past due to our dry conditions. The leaves turned brown before the colder weather could bring on the reds and yellows. Still a pretty time of the year to me.  Have a great day!

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

Oh mate, why did you have to go and mention a pumpkin cream-cheese muffin for? Sounds as delicious as your photo looks colourful, which I might add, could be described as Mother Nature’s abstract art as captured by the ever talented man with impeccable taste in muffins and coffee, Monte Stevens 🙂

Flattery will always earn you 10 points. No complaints with the muffin, except maybe not big enough. Sorry, well sort of, if I caused you any temptation or lust or cravings. 🙂

I would be less than truthful if I didn’t admit part of the reason I enjoy fall is for the associated hot drinks and tasty treats that seem to go so well with the cooler temperatures. In some things, Pumpkin Spice may be pushing the limits of good taste these days but in a latte or muffin, it works beautifully for me. Lovely photo, Monte.

I’m not a pumpkin spice latte drinker. However, pumpkin backed goods are my temptation. Thanks, Brooks! We have a mix of rain and snow this morning and it’s 33 degrees.

Sounds like we need a gathering featuring pumpkin cream cheese muffins, perhaps after your operation. Cedric is buying.

Like you, I get stuck looking at the ground a lot for images like this. Great symbolism of the season… colors, wetness, fallen leaves – and anyone that has experienced it – a bit cold as well.

That sounds wonderful and so grateful for Cedric’s offer! Yes, I do have a tendency to look down. Even do that when hiking more than I need to. It is snowing as we speak now.

Happy to foot the bill for such a gathering, it would be well worth it. I just need to convince someone over here that it would be ok to fork out $2000 on muffins and coffee ($1950 being on transport. Have they invented Uber Fly yet?) 🙂
We don’t get pumpkin muffin, or pie, or spice latte over here. Except maybe at Starbucks but they are few and far between over here. So for me it would be a treat.

That sounds like an awesome start to a chilly day! Like the others I get tired of the “pumpkin everything” this time of year, but I could probably find room for a pumpkin cream cheese muffin! We’re headed to the mountains shortly and hope to see a bit of color and hopefully cooler temperatures. Summer is still hanging on here, although it sounds like Michael may chase the last of it away. 😉
