“Mystery surrounds every deep experience of the human heart: the deeper we go into the heart’s darkness or its light, the closer we get to the ultimate mystery of God.”
Parker J Palmer
I see scenes like this quite often on my walk across the CSU Oval. The back lit light of the sprinklers always grabs my attention. So, I stopped for a couple of images. I find mystery in this image because it includes the cyclist, lost in the mist, riding on the sidewalk down the center of the oval as if they were within the spray. The wind continues to blow this morning, so my hair is a mess, but we have clear skies and sunshine. I am happy to see more and more green. The semester is over, finals are done and most students have headed home. Hope you have a wonderful day.

After all the wintery weather you’ve been having it is a little surprising to see all that green! I do love the look of the backlit sprinklers…it reminds me a bit of the mist from a waterfall. The cyclist and the pink from the (dogwood?) is an added bonus. That blue van in the background also gives the eye somewhere to go.

You have done a good job looking over the image. I like that. I’m not sure they are dogwood. I will need to check that out.

The long tree shadows, reaching out, inviting us in… lovely!

I think it is an inviting image as it sure has that spring feel to it!

Monte, what also caught my eye was how far ahead the trees here are compared to there. All here have had full foliage for some time, but then we didn’t have much of a winter here this year. Have a great week!

I hadn’t thought about the trees out your way being ahead of us. I would suspect we’re about 4 weeks behind the east coast with leaves. Good eye, my friend.
