Self-portraits

From Above

Me From Above

As Willy Nelsons’s lyrics go, “I’m on the road in the air again.” Started a 4-day trip yesterday flying all over the place. I am working with a young lady I haven’t seen in a couple of years so it will be a good trip. Anyway, here is another self-portrait with a twist in both perspective and post processing. This is one of the presets in LR4. Gotta try different things to see how they turn out and also another example of listening to the muse.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

I started doing self-portraits a few years ago on pbase.com when they started Self-Portrait Fridays. They are not that difficult but can be time consuming when you are both the model and photographer. Some people can be very creative and also show different sides of themselves. I wonder how much of it can be a way to examine ourselves, seeing ourselves differently and clearer eyes.
