A Cold, Frosty and Foggy Morning

A Cold, Frosty, and Foggy Morning

“For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together.  For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad.”  ~Edwin Way Teale

Most photographers think of the Fall season as an opportunity for capturing the changing colors of the trees or watching leaves as they flutter to the ground. It is also the season for harvesting and preparing for the coming of winter as well as a time when our mornings turn colder, frost turns the landscape a pale shade of white and fog delays the warming rays of the sun. To me that’s a good time to be out with a camera in hand.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

And the time to have a nice, toasty jacket and hat as well. 🙂 We’ve not made it to this point yet, but it’s only a matter of weeks. I’m sure, though, that the harvest is in full effect!

It’s always important to stay comfortable. I noticed yesterday there are several “portable pumpkin patches” have sprung up in town and some workers gathering sacks of potatoes in the field, so harvest is here. Hope that knee is healing.

Hi Monte, I’ve missed flying with you since you’ve left, but I do enjoy seeing your pictures.
Where was this shot done with frost already?

Well, what nice surprise to hear from you. Hope all is going well for you. This was actually taken on the farm road east side of the Denver airport. If I remember correctly it was very cold. Thanks for stopping by and and thanks for leaving a comment. I do appreciate them.

I had saved the link on this page at some point and I forgot when I clicked back in, it looked like a scene that could be happening recently with these weather changes we’ve been getting, I then realized I wasn’t on the most recent page. Always enjoy your new finds Monte.
