Every year I post at least one image of an ornament on my tree. Not sure this is one of my traditions but I do enjoy some evenings when I just look at the simple little tree and take a few shots. So, here is my Christmas tree ornament image for 2012.

A cherub is defined as “a chubby, rosy-faced child with wings” and this certainly is one.

Thanks, Ken. I like that definition and no that is not a self-portrait of this ever increasing chubby photographer. 🙂

A very peaceful and “Christmasy” scene. 🙂

Thanks, Paul, and enjoy the weekend!

I really like this idea of photographing ornaments. There’s no reason they need to spend 11 months out of sight in a box. Photographing them allows you to enjoy them any day you want. Great project!

I really had not even thought of this as a project but it has turned out to be one. Thanks, Tom.

I do so enjoy this season even though it’s commercialized so very much. We just need to find the simpler Christmas pleasures…which this is one. 🙂

Totally agree, Earl. We are bombarded so heavily during this time of the year to spend our money. Simple gifts, especially the handcrafted ones, are what rings true within me. The reason for the season has been tarnished for me. I also enjoy the season, time with family and smiles on children’s faces.

I agree with Tom—great project. Savor the joy long after the season has passed. Your tradition is a lovely one.

Thanks, Anita. I hope you and “the husband” have a super Christmas Holiday and New Years. Hugs!
