Monte, I suspect it would be better if all religions were “of the heart” and did not live by written words, books, mega churches, and holy wars. The early settlers sadly missed a wonderful opportunity to learn from the early native americans. I’ve sometimes wondered what would America be like if those opposing cultures could have been peacefully merged.

I have thought that same thing, Earl. I’ve read some interesting stuff on the early exploration as settlers moved on to prairies. Such different views of life between the settlers and the natives. Still exists today.
