Anything that excites me, for any reason, I will photograph: not searching for unusual subject matter but making the commonplace unusual, nor indulging in extraordinary technique to attract attention. Work only when desire to the point of necessity impels – then do it honestly. I sometimes feel like Weston’s writing was better than his photography, but then I go back and look at his photographs.
I love how you have composed this photo, with the colored leaves almost creeping in from the edges, sort of like how fall sneaks in on us when we’re not looking.

Thank, Tom. I think the colors ware what pulled me to this image. Of the several I took this one appealed to me the most and due to those gren leaves with the colored ones “creeping” in from the edges. Strange how something can call to us like that.
