Spent part of the morning at Bean Cycle Roasters. It is becoming a favorite hangout for me. It offers a quiet ambiance and good coffee. I can read and write due to the quiet and peacefulness it has. I sat in the loft area which allows me to look down on the main floor and noticed a young couple playing a game of chess. I grabbed the camera and made a daring risk of interrupting the concentration of the game. I asked if I could take a photo of them playing. They smiled, said yes and went right back to the game. There are many reasons for people to patronize coffeehouses and games are on reason. It’s not unusual to see people playing cards, scrabble, dominos and chess with a real person and not on a tablet. I know a couple who would play scrabble everyday at lunch with the winner taking on the role of the boss for the next 24 hours. By the way, it looks like she’s winning. 🙂

I really like these situational photos of yours, Monte. Especially with the stories that go with them. I don’t think I’ll tell Kathy about the Scrabble challenge. 😉

You’re gutless, Tom, or maybe just smart. 🙂 Thank you and have a super week!
