Passing Storm

Passing Storm
Passing Storm

When the restless, irritable, discontent feelings sweep over me I know it’s time to find some quiet. I can find that by driving out east and finding some country dirt road to walk along. I have found a spot just into Weld County near the intersection of County Rd 90 and County Rd 13. This is a large hill that looks out to the west and north into the lower valley. The Colorado Front Range will be in any image you bring home. There were a few small storms along the front range. This one is the to the north and there was one behind me to the south. Tom and Kathy will probably recognize this view as they have been there. I enjoyed the quiet here, listening only to the low grumbling of thunder associated with the storm.

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

You are correct, Monte. I remember that spot very well and can imagine spending a lot of time out there. Interesting that my annual calendar has one of the photos from County Road 90 as the photo for August – one of the ones with the road stretching into the distance and storm-looking clouds in the sky. Great scenery out your way, even if it isn’t the mountains!

Yes, I go there setup my tripod and camera then just take it all in. Almost don’t need to take any photos just be there. Glad you have an image from there in your calendar. 🙂

I hope you shook the restless, irritable and discontent aura surrounding you and found some serenity. How are you feeling, health-wise? I hope you are on the road to healing.

Yes, I’ve learned of a few things to do in order to move away from the stinking thinking. One is to venture out with the camera. It’s the creativity, which many do not consider they have.
I am doing well. Suppose I need to write a update post. No more trips to bathroom every hour or so. I can make the trip every 4 hours and more importantly empty my bladder. Putting the weight back on and slowly getting my energy back. Hope all is well with you two! Hugs!

Glad to hear it. All is good on this side of the country, as good as it can be in this crazy world. Keep healing, and hugs back.
