It has quietly snowed all day. Snow began early this morning about 7:00 am. Beautiful big flakes mixed with some rain. The rooftops and grass are white as this storm brings some much needed moisture. The temperature has stayed below freezing all day but does not feel cold. Winter is wanting to give us one more snowfall before allowing spring and summer to arrive.
I discovered a new coffeehouse, The Purple Cup. It is close to home, easy walking distance, and my first mocha latte was spot on. It has big comfy lounge chairs and sofas as well as tables and chairs. I’ll have to give it one more quality check before making it a regular hangout.

As winter passes the baton to spring there it sounds like you may have found a gem in this new coffeehouse. I love those which have that big overstuff comfy furniture…it makes it feel so homey doesn’t it? Years and years ago there was a coffeehouse in Vermont I use to visity almost daily with similar décor which also had a wall of bookshelves with a variety of books. If you brought a book in you could take one out. Each day at lunch you could also help yourself to a big pot of delicious homemade soup and hearty loaves of homemade wholegrain breads…all for $2 plus the cost of you coffee, if I remember right. It had a kinda “hippy” feel to it and I spent quite a few hours there. 🙂
Your photo illustrates your description of the coffeehouse well.

Sounds like I would have been a regular at that coffeehouse. We have a coffeehouse in town that was sharing it’s space with a used book store. It had a wonderful feeling surrounded by those books. The book store moved on and the ambiance of the coffeehouse changed dramatically for me. They still make good coffee but it ain’t the same. Love the comfy sofas and chairs!

Last year a nice, warm and roomy coffee shop opened within easy walking distance from us. Just one living room sofa for the comfort seeker but still it’s nice to have something like that just around the corner. Light Jazz on Friday nights. We’re hoping they can make a go of it as it’s really a neighborhood bonus.

Sounds like it’s just for you. Hope they make a good cup-of-joe. Well expect a report. 🙂
