We have been hot here in Colorado, reaching 103 yesterday. It’s going to be cooler, somewhere around 95 today but Saturday will only reach 70 with a chance of rain. Below is an exert from my journal, a prayer if you will, from June 3 2108.
“It’s quiet here on my porch. Enjoyable. May I stay present, aware of all that’s around me. May I have calm and serenity. I do not like conflict in my life, whether that is internal or external. May I trust more and have courage to take actions in my life. Grateful for the quiet.”

Best thing to do when it’s that hot is exactly what you are doing. Stay still and be thankful for A/C!

Actually I have not had to run my air conditioning in years. My condo is one level and on the ground level. It stays naturally cool.

Hot here too, Monte, but it’s amazing the 30+º temp difference you guys are experiencing in a two-day time span. “Grateful for the quiet” – Quite is something I greatly appreciate but am expecting to get limited amounts of between now and the 4th of July. When the fireworks start I’ll probably be sitting on the floor of our main closet calming Maggie. 🙂 When RV’ing, we always made sure on the 4th to be in a park which didn’t allow fireworks. No such option this year. I like this image, are you shooting in B&W or are you shooting in color and then converting to B&W? No particular reason for asking, just curious. Take care.

It’s now about 66 degrees with overcast skies and possible rain. We are at our predicted high for the day. Feels good me this morning. You have mentioned the quiet you have in our life so we have a connection on that aspect of our lives. And the fireworks, well they are a large waste of money to create a large amount of noise pollution and danger. I vote for peace and quiet!

Okay, that’s fairly warm even by our standard. Hopefully the humidity is low. Dry heat is always more tolerable than the humid alternative.
The building in the photo looks quite beautiful and I like your prayer.

Yes, a relatively low humidity. This morning is overcast and not quite 70 degrees. Thunderstorms are predicted so that could disturb the quiet. Brooks, Maggie and I will be in the closet.
This is one of the older building on the CSU campus. It’s the one students will enter first. It’s interesting that at one time it was a sorority with an indoor pool. The pool is filled in and replaced with cubicles.
