Awoke way too early then struggled to get back to sleep, seem to have more of those nights over the past few years.
So, I crawled out of bed at 4:00 am, had my quiet time, made a french press then headed to the Arapaho Bend Natural Area; may need a nap later.
At 5:45 am most people are still wrapped in blankets so it was quiet except for the birds, they always rise early; always in a seemingly good mood.
The weather people predicted a cloudy day, then rain later, so I took the chance for a sprinkling of clouds in the east; I was awake anyway.
I like the solitude of my life, living alone, plenty of quiet, yearning to live near a natural area, always one of my daydreams; it could come true.
Then I’d rise early each morning to greet the sunrise while listening to the free concert and tire you with too many sunrise images; See!

I’ll never tire of seeing mornings like that. What a reward for getting up early, and we can sleep during the day like most retired people! 😉

or as my dad says, “resting his eyes.”

I tend to be up by 5 this time of year (Fall for us) and in the Summer, 4 or 4:30. Morning is a wonderful part of the day. I am the only morning person in my family so it is always nice and quiet then. I enjoy late afternoons too, sitting on the balcony, watching the sunset, usually with my daughter who also knows the joy of quietude.
In any case, let me assure you, even if I do not always stop by to leave a comment, you will not tire me with your sunrises

I’m one who rises regularly about 5:30. When weather is nice I also sit in an Adirondack chair either on my porch or the grass. I sometimes sit on the grass because I like to soak up the sun, it’s good medicine for my soul. My sunrises have been slacking over the past few months, finding more sunsets fitting my schedule of life. I am always glad to know you stop by, even if for a short visit.

Who could ever tire of looking at those clouds?
Wonderfully descriptive words of the experience of that morning as well Monte.
