new fountain pen
Cloudy and overcast skies with possible snow flurries later today. May be one of those days for a hot chocolate or tea and a good book. Or, writing with a new fountain pen.
My online journal sharing interests in photography, nature, coffee life, journaling, fountain pens, bicycling, spirituality and asking deep questions.

Ooooohhh, that’s a beauty! Happy inking!

Yes, it’s a beautiful pen. I have it in blue marble, green marble brown marble. The gold sparkles in this and has some transparency to it. It writes well, also.

That’s a beautiful pen, Monte. Because I was curious (not nosy!) I looked it up, and the first listing I came to was showing a model with a solid gold nib! I’m guessing yours has the regular version. Nice regardless! 🙂

The nib is steel as I can’t afford the 14kt god nib. However, I can buy one in the future. I am very happy with their steel nibs. About the only thing I’d gain with the gold nib is more flex and maybe smoother writing. What matters is wanting to pick the pen up and use it.

I was fascinated to read how one company offers to “custom tune” your nib for ink flow and flex based on your preferences. I had no idea there was such a thing! Now I’m learning about pens! 😉
There is something about a fine instrument of any kind that encourages one to use it. A pen is an excellent example!
