Among the Salsify

among the salsify
return to a sacred place
morning sunrise

Awoke early so arrived at Pineridge Natural Area just after 5:00 am. It was already 69 degrees and hardly any breeze. Quiet all around me. A stillness. I walked down the trail from my bench to where there are several salsify plants and patiently waited with them for this morning’s sunrise. I take deep breaths, grateful for life. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Retired. Having fun with photography. Journal daily. Meditate daily. Learning haiku/poetry. Have a love for fountain pens.

      We are at a nice 88 degrees with some cloud cover keeping it that. However, I am well aware of some places much hotter in the southwest. It’s 114 in Phoenix at my parents house. Whew! I did enjoy my morning at Pineridge Natural Area. It was so quiet and still.

    Thank you for the weekend wishes! Car’s getting detailed today by the neighbor kid, final pack-up of the stereo, Father’s Day with daughters tomorrow–yep it’ll be a rewarding weekend.

    Stay well, Monte

      Hot again here. Hazy sky from the heat and the smoke from all the fires. I washed the car yesterday so hoping that brings on some much needed moisture. I’m meeting my oldest daughter tomorrow. Hope you enjoy time with your daughter. You be careful with that stereo. 🙂
