They are predicting poor air quality over the next few days as the smoke from the west coast fires are carried into our area. The eastern horizon has this brown haze to it and therefore the sun has an orange glow to it, so surreal. Today is a new day. A gift, even though we may not see it that way. May we live it to the best of our abilities.

Reminds me of Mary Oliver’s poem “The Summer Day”. What will we do with this precious life. Lovely sun burst, Monte.🌞

It does remind me also of Mary’s poem and most likely influenced my words. I’m now sitting at the same table and could almost take the same image. It is much cooler this morning than when I took the above image on Sunday morning. Have a super Awesome day!

I love that you find a way to make the best of each day, regardless of how dire the situation may look. Every day is a gift, and while not all gifts can be sparkly and exciting, there is something to look forward to with every one. We can only hope that this year’s fire season is a short and mild one, but it isn’t starting out that way. We’ve had plenty of rain so far this summer, so if you are looking for a place to hang out, head our way! 🙂

I am hoping we have a rather insignificant, or non existent, fire season in Colorado. We already have 4-5 fires burning but nothing like last year.
Yes, I need to keep my focus on the good stuff in life and stay away from the negative, which includes all news.

We had a pretty hazy sunrise the other day due to the fires. I tried to blow it back in your direction – but wasn’t too successful.
