Our hotel in Montreal has a neat little coffee bar with a variety of drinks and pastries. Of course I needed to try them out and spend some time journaling.

Lovely glass, and the content looks enjoyable too. It seem to have been a nice and quiet moment.

Yes, a neat glass and probably made it taste better. It also has a look of a martini glass. And, the foam was awesome with this fancy swirl to it. The little shop is located in the hotel lobby surrounded by windows with beautiful light.

Monte,
Why do I love your coffee shop photos? Because I am a lover of coffee shops also? Perhaps. Sometimes when I’m in a local starbucks, I’ll snap a photo of of my cofee and scone and sent it to my brother. Often times, he to is in a starbucks and send one back, LOL, funny.
I also like the journaling to. I’m actually using my iPad to journal now with an app I donwloaded. I’ll write a brief passage and attach a couple of photos to the document. It helps me to remember the feelings I had when shooting at a certain place.
Nice photo Monte, as always. The mocha latte and the glass it’s in looks inviting.

I apologize for the few typos in my previous comment, it’s still early here and I’m working on my first cup of coffee.

I moved away from liquor bars to coffee bars a few years ago, hangovers went away. And, they are usually more quiet and peaceful for writing or reading.
I tried the computer journaling but I found hand writing caused me to slow down and keep my focus. Having spell checker underline words seemed to always distract me. Nor can I edit what I write the first time. What I had on my mind and what came of out on paper is it. No editing aloud.

Hi Monte, great coffee glass — love that shape. I use to keep a physical journal…something special about the process of writing things down — a real help in organizing the thoughts. I’m not even sure why I stopped doing it. Have a great rest of the weekend. 🙂

Pretty unique shape for sure. Journaling has been my way to heal, let things out, keep memories/history, express emotions, and a bunch more reasons. I seem to go through phases where I write more than others and go for a week or more without writing. But, I always pick the pen back up. Enjoy your Sunday!

Ah, my favorite Monte theme–I’ve been waiting for one of these. I have no idea what draws me to these–perhaps, as mentioned in Alan’s comment, I really love coffee and coffee shops. Some of the best I have found have been in Canada. Hope your weekend was a good one.

“Monte theme”, I like that. I’m in my hotel room in Portland, ME. After my quiet time in the morning I plan on finding coffee to relax and write. And, yes I did have a nice quiet weekend and spent some time with a macro lens.
