We had a short overnight in New Orleans, arriving late and leaving around noon. It is hot and muggy but I managed to get out and take a walk along Veterans Blvd. This walk takes me passed the past the Chez Pierre pastry shop I visited back in June. On that visit I enjoyed the artistry of the baker and sampled one of their works of art. I stopped in again, chatted with the same lady as before and tried something new. Again, I was pleased.
I took it back to my hotel room since the shop is just around the corner. It will be my lunch today. 🙂
The deed it done! You know there are simple pleasures in life. I experienced one yesterday morning.

Monte, If this was me I would have had to shoot this sequence on “Continuous High” at a much faster shutter speed to prevent motion blur of the fork as I was eating this delightful work of art. 😉 Great self-control!
Now you’ve made me hungry…

You’re way too funny, Earl! LOL I’m sitting outside a coffee shop, as it is a beautiful morning, I’m checking email and blogs and laughing. This sort of action causes other customers to wonder if I’m only drinking coffee. Thanks for laugh this morning!

Man, that looks yummy! 🙂 I’m with Earl. I don’t know if that would have made it back to the room with me: “Hmmm. Maybe just a little nibble …” Doh!

Ya gotta savor each bite. 🙂

Sometimes when it’s really good, all you can do is savor the ‘memory’ of how it tasted when you scarfed it down! 🙂

Really, Paul is right–what willpower to take that back to the room with you. I’d have had a sample there and taken an back…with some coffee, of course!

Ah, you can see the coffee cup in the background. I covered all the bases I could think of, May Ann.
