A foggy morning along the Yellowstone River in Lamar Valley. One of my favoritest places I’ve ever been.

Mine too! I have been there several times and each visit was like wonderful.

I haven’t been there in several years, I think it’s time to go back. The only thing I have a tough time with is the crowds so I do enjoy going early or late in the season.

Lovely photo, Monte. I’d love to visit there. Was this taken during your motorcycle touring days?
Monte Stevens
Yes. I made two trips up there that year. The trip I took later in the year was in the csr when the weather could turn for the worst for anyone on a motorcycle. Have a great weekend!

Great place, and fine photo. Subtle, and you conveyed the feel of a foggy morning very nicely.

Thanks, Paul.

I do hope you guys get a chance to go there and experience it. It has such a different feel than the Appalachian Mountains. And, yes the trip is going along fine. We have three long days then end with a short one. I’m in Montreal this morning. leaving at noon today. I the early morning time for relaxing: a latte and muffin. 🙂

Well, since everyone else seems to know where it is, how about cluing me in. 🙂 Lovely, shot. Where is this Lamar Valley?
Monte Stevens
Lamar Valley is in Yellowstone National Park. It is an immense valley with rolling hills covered with sage bushes and the Yellowstone River flowing through it. The river flows north towards the canyon of Yellowstone and it’s famous waterfalls. The valley is a haven for the grazing buffalo and is abundant with all sorts of wildlife.

Very cool. I was going to ‘assume’ Yellowstone NP, but then, why assume when Monte has the answer. 🙂

You’re funny, Paul. I don’t even have all the questions, let alone the answers. Hope you have a super day.
