the meadowlark sings his song
mws
from it’s perch atop an old fence post
what seems to be just a melody to some
is a beautiful song of love and hope
a gift carried by the wind to those
who will listen with their hearts

LOL So, my attempt at being philosophical failed to get past you. 😁 When you read about the western meadowlark, you will find that the males quite often have two females at the same time. So, let’s make that girlfriends.

Amazing photograph, Monte! And beautiful words. I can hear the meadowlark’s song on the breeze at this moment, even if it’s not meant for me but for his girlfriendS!
