Spiritually ecology is a recognition that at the root of our present ecological crisis is a spiritual crisis, and that the essence of the spiritual crisis is a forgetfulness of the sacred nature of creation.

I am enjoying a nice cool morning here in Colorado. I’m leaving in a short while to meet my classmates for our monthly luncheon picnic. I took this photo last month on my way back from Red Feather Lakes area. I loved how the pre-sunset light presented parallel lines across the landscape. It was another one of those spiritual moments to enjoy.

Thanks Earle. The lighting in this is so powerful to me. And to tell the truth, the image does not express what I felt in that moment. Ya had to be there!

Yes, I do believe that it is my spiritual emptiness that I seek fulfillment in ways that are often destructive, even to our blessed Earth. God help me to find my wholeness and fullness in you, especially by pausing in your Creation and doing my part to care for it and the precious souls that people it.

Yes, praying for my wholeness and fullness in a God beyond my understanding is where my journey is now. And being aware of when I am stepping into destructive behavior is a gift.
