It’s been one of those days when laundry is done, the bathroom still needs cleaned, and I don’t feel like doing or going anywhere. However, there is a twitch with my forefinger on my right hand, most likely from not getting enough exercise with a shutter button. So, I ask myself what is there around me that I see all the time but really never see and needs to have a photograph made of it? I glance over towards the bathroom and have an idea. Thirty minutes later and I have come up with an abstract image of something we see and use all the time. Crap, how do we miss seeing so much of what is around us?

Monte, I’ve tried some photos like this but ended up flushing them. This item I would miss very much if it suddenly disappeared.

LOL Yes, we would quickly notice if it was missing.

Good photos are all around, as this proves. We just have to see them and take advantage of it. This is a good example of what we may be missing if we don’t pay attention Well done.

One thing photography has done for me is teach me to see more of this world, to pay attention to it, to be more present to the moment. I’ve had a tendency in the past to try and live in the future and reminisce about the past. Enjoy the weekend!

Amen to all of the above. The right photographer can make the most mundane compelling. Very creative and much appreciated.

Hope it brought at least a tiny smile. Hugs

Good catch, Monte. I had a couple of chuckles in my juvenile mind. You mentioned bathroom and crap in the same post, and Earl said that he’s tried some photos like this and ended up flushing them. I’m sick! I need help! LOL

I’m glad you got a chuckle out of it.
