Both Friday, Saturday and into Sunday morning we had lite rain and mist, the gentle sort of rain that is hardly noticeable but everything is wet. The rain let up about mid morning Sunday. I could see the raindrops on the bushes outside my condo so I grabbed the camera to see what photograph may be given me.
This past weekend was graduation so all around campus traffic was a mess and you might as well forget about finding a table at any restaurant. Needless to say there were all sorts of colorful umbrellas everywhere. More photo opportunities. 🙂
I’m writing this on Sunday evening and scheduling it to post on Monday morning. And, the weather app is predicting more rain on Monday. Hope everyone has a super Awesome week.

I always enjoy getting out after a rain shower. It’s another hot day (low 90s) here today, the rest of the week is supposed to be a little cooler (low 80s) with chances of rain each day. It will be a welcomed change. Have an “Awesome” week yourself. 🙂

They are saying 50% chance of rain today. I’m okay with that as it greens things up. I noticed you have been on the warm side of things. Enjoy the change!

Feel free to send a bit of that rain our way, my friend! Like Earl said, it’s been a bit hot here, but there is a chance of rain for the next few days. I certainly hope so!

I just love that “Velvia” green and all those raindrops, Monte. Paul, it sounds like Charlotte is going to get that rain this week, so hang in there. We’re currently in Minneapolis for the week and enjoying temps in the 60s and 70s. A nice break from the 90s from this past weekend.

And, you are right as I did use Velvia to shoot these.

Way to go Monte going old school with the Velvia! 🙂

Yep, bumped up the contrast just a smidge then smiled. 🙂

Our river here has breeched flood stage, and a big one is hitting tonight. Images like this remind me how refreshing the rain is. We should all shoot IN the rain more often.

Totally agree, Mark! A little rain never hurt anyone. However, too much is a different story.
